General Finishes Oil Based Gel Stain

General Finishes Oil Based Gel Stain is the home of the popular Java Gel stain that has been featured across the nation's social media for upcycling furniture and cabinets. General Finishes Gel Stains are heavy-bodied and do not penetrate as deeply into the wood as liquid oil-based stains do, providing the deepest, richest colors of any oil based stain available.

General Finishes Oil Based Gallons are not available in the following states due to V.O.C. restrictions. You can still purchase any amount of smaller containers e.g. 4 quarts.

Cure time: 30 days under ideal conditions (70 degrees and 70% humidity)
Tocoat with: Gel Satin, Arm-R-Seal or High Performance
Always test color on hidden area to make sure it is what you want
