There is never a wrong time to add shelving to your garage or house.  And surprisingly there always seems to be a place for more shelving and storage. Right now is a good time to run around the house and garage to see if you can find a place for more shelving. Here is another way to approach it.  Look at all the stuff around the house and garage that you wish was on a shelf.  It will percolate your creative juices.   Well now, it only stands to reason that you have come up with a place for more shelving so what type is best for you?  Let me help you make that decision.  You want adjustable shelving that is stylish enough for the house and rugged enough for the garage.  I have one real good solution. KV 82/182 heavy duty wall mounted standards and brackets.  It is a double slotted upright standard that will handle up to 450 pounds on a pair of shelf brackets 16” apart.   Woodworkers Hardware has it in stock.   I put it in my garage.  See the video.  We have a closet in the living room for coats and hats.  It’s a stupid place for a coat and hat closet.  So I took the closet rod out and put four adjustable shelves in with KV standards and brackets from Woodworkers Hardware.  Now we have a very nice place for our wireless printers and paper and my wife likes it.  DiAnne saw me heading toward her bedroom so she screwed the door shut so I wouldn’t replace all her hangar space with shelving.  I suppose everything has its limits.
