The RPC latch and strike system are a universal latch allowing you to lock a cabinet on either an inset or overlay door.  With a little bit of machining, that can be done at any experience level of woodworking, and a couple of screws, it is a low-cost easy solution to locking a door shut on your cabinets, chicken coops, or whatever other application you can think of.
